Fishing Report 12/21/24

I must say this past week was a pleasant surprise as most of the week there was some really good days on the water; the change of the cold front for sure slowed things down but as the fish adjusted it just kept getting better. We could be in for one of the best springs we have had in many years as there is once again a ton of small fish and large numbers of 3 plus pound fish in the lake.

Baits were limited to a few that really seemed to show out throughout the week; Tight-Line jigs were key in finding the bigger fish; we also fished their Swim jig and Chatter bait. SPRO Aruka Shad rattle bait seemed to catch the numbers and became the go to bait for most of the week. Baits were certainly key but locating groups of fish was the real key behind our week!

Fishing Report 11/23/24

With the extreme wind this past week I was only on the water for a few days, we did catch fish, but I’ve had better days. It’s an extreme time of year as the next 45 days will be cold, windy and rainy if the past is any example. We will be on the water for the best of the weather and focus on finding some of the bigger fish as we approach the February fishing bonanza.

Baits were limited to SPRO square bills, and jerk baits, Tight-Line chatter baits, Duckett Spinner baits and Missile bait D-Bombs. The wind for sure made it tough to present a bait if you were in the wrong angle against the wind.

Fishing Report 9/28/24

With the wild weather this past week we managed several days on the water with really good results; there is no doubt that the bite saw some change as the second spawn appears to be over and the bass are on the move. There was some searching as the change n weather and bass movement forced you to look for the change in pattern, when we found them, it was great, and we had fun!

Baits we definitely had to keep presenting different baits at times in order to find there preference, Missile Bait D-Bombs lead the way, Duckett small profile spinner baits were excellent, Tight- Line swim jigs produced well as well as SPRO Pop-r’s.
